Baked Apples + Pears Oats
3 tbsp maple syrup
1/2 tsp cinnamon, 1/8 tsp kosher salt, 2 pinches ground cloves
1 cup old fashioned oats
3/4 cup water
3/4 cup soy milk
pinch of salt
1/2 tsp vanilla
Preheat the oven to 375. Cut the fruit into bite sized pieces. Add the maple and spices and toss well to coat. Bake for 30 minutes or until very tender.
In the meantime, add the oats, water, soy milk and salt to a saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to medium and simmer for 8 minutes or until thickened. Stir occasionally. Add the vanilla at the end and distribute between two bowls. Top with the baked fruit and a drizzle of nut butter 🙂
